The Norton Commando Roadster 750 was first introduced at chassis number 135,140. This bike is chassis no 141799 and is a matching numbers bike manufactured in 1970. The bike seems to have spent most of its life in the USA until it was imported back to the UK by Spike Island Motorcycles. It was then acquired in April 2012 and lovingly restored to its current excellent condition by the previous owner. The bike was imported as a good running bike with excellent paint and chrome. It was then significantly improved. Receipts are on hand for various works including:
- New rear shocks
- New chainguard
- New centre stand
- New seat
- New headlamp bracket and fittings
- New ignition switch barrel, switch body and key
- New Dunlop TT100 tyre
- New carburettor
- New kickstart crank
- New cylinder head
In total receipts are on hand for some £1600 of parts.
The bike itself is in very good order throughout, starts second or third kick, and runs nice and strong. Since it was acquired by a28 classics it has been checked over and the front brake pads have been replaced. Cosmetically a new owner might consider replacing the front rim where some of the chrome is a little worn.
This is an opportunity to acquire an excellent Commando, running Motd, taxed and ready to ride. To arrange a viewing or for any additional information please call Andrew on
