1966 Triumph TR6 Custom
The Americans fell in love with triumph motorcycles in the 1950s and 1960s, and often customized them to add their own individual stamp. This bike has been imported from the USA having been customized, we believe in period. The basis of the bike is a TR6C frame, which has then had a 1968 T120R Bonneville engine added to it. The overall look of the bike is that of a flat-tracker or bobber; there is a Bates period leather saddle seat and rear mudguard pad, a Bates 5 1/2 inch chromed headlight, and a Bates alloy tail-light. The Triumph scallops have been retained for the custom paint job, but in a striking, non-standard blue and white, which continues onto the rear mudguard. Shorty megaphone mufflers have also been added which give a wonderfully raucous exhaust note. The previous owner apparently used the bike for short hops to ride-in bike shows in his native California. It is sold fully registered, MOTd and taxed in the UK.
